Beating the heat for a maternity shoot

Summer in Tucson is...hot... But, don't let the heat scare you away from capturing a magical time in pregnancy. While this beautiful momma was close to the end, she absolutely glowed during our session. You don't need a full hour to capture a collection of beautiful images. Especially during those hot summer months, booking a mini session can be the right answer. We scheduled our mini session in order to hit that sweet spot during golden hour, when the sun was setting below the mountains. In 15-20 minutes, we were able to get enough shots in to create a beautiful gallery.

Saguaro National Park, on the Vail side of Tucson, always provides the perfect backdrop and is one of my favorite locations. I love the variety of cactus we were able to get in each image! And how adorable are these new parents?! I love working with couples teeming with the excitement of welcoming their first baby. It's such a wonderful time. So as the weather is warming, remember a mini session might be the answer to your temperature woes!
